Erich is a non-profit management executive, fundraising and marketing with 20+ years of experience. He has been a mentor to many students developing their career pathway. He is available to discuss non-profit details such as salaries, types of jobs available, and the kind of impact you can have in this world. His main non-profit experience is in global organizations helping children and disaster areas, as well as in healthcare and medical research. Erich was named one of America’s Most Influential and Effective Fundraisers by the Non-Profit Times.

What do you currently do? 

I am the Chief Operating Officer for the CMT Research Foundation. This requires day to day management of the organization’s finances, fundraising, HR and project reporting.   

How did you start?

I did an MBA at Emory University which focused on corporate and brand marketing. After doing projects with Coca-Cola and Home Depot at the dawn of online promotions, I began my career working in non-profit organizations, with roles in strategy, marketing, fundraising and finance.  I have been in internal audit traveling to Kosovo and Macedonia auditing their operations.  I have been in Ethiopia and Egypt gathering video and marketing content for fundraising.   And I have led large marketing and fundraising programs at the Multiple Sclerosis Association and ALS Association.  

What are your hobbies and interests?

I am the lead singer in a 90s band that plays grunge, pop, hip-hop and rock music.  I also have 4 children so their interests are my interests – soccer, swimming, beauty pageants and ice skating.  

What is the most valuable experience you think you can share with someone? 

I can share personal career experience in marketing and non-profit organizational management.  There are areas of both creative and analytical thinking that these careers require.  “
